The Architecture

Croydon Olive Estate has a distinctive ‘dorp’ street architecture.

The style in the Main Avenue draws on the well proportioned simplicity of the Cape architecture seen in the historic Bo-Kaap of Cape Town and in Dorp Street, Stellenbosch.

Houses in the lanes remind one of the Cape mission stations, Cape Dutch homesteads and typical nineteenth century Cape village houses with street facing verandas.
